Comments:

  • When choosing a production and buying tickets, we kindly ask you to pay attention to the recommended age group for each production. When a performance is listed as sold out, it means that it is no longer possible to sell any tickets to that performance. The auditorium has a maximum occupancy, which cannot be exceeded, due to fire and safety regulations.
  • The performance will start precisely on time. We request that you arrive to the performance well in advance and keep a sufficient distance with other visitors when exiting the auditorium during the intermission and after the performance. Keep in mind that there are many other visitors in the theatre (including in the cloakroom, in the cafeteria, and at the box office).
  • Those arriving late will only be allowed into the auditorium if it does not disturb the performance and other audience members, and if there are available seats that are easily accessible. In the Ferdinand Hall, those arriving late are usually led to the balcony. If some special characteristic of a production makes that impossible, those arriving late will not be allowed into the auditorium. The theatre will not refund any tickets due to late arrival. Tickets will be exchanged or refunded only if the performance is cancelled.
  • Tickets are checked before entering the auditorium. Tickets can be either physical or on a smart device. For discount tickets, you must present a valid ID confirming your discount status (student ID, pension certificate, Partner Card, Club One card).
  • Doors open typically 15–20 minutes before the performance begins; for small children’s productions, 5 minutes before the performance begins. In the case of some productions, the doors will open at the beginning of the performance – this is usually part of the performance.
  • There will be announcements made to notify the audience of the beginning or continuing of the performance. The announcements will be made 5 minutes, 3 minutes, and 1 minute before the performance begins.
  • During the performance, only actors will move around and act. The audience members are expected to observe and experience the performance from their seats. During the performance, spectators can exit the auditorium only in the case of an emergency. When you return, theatre attendants will lead you to an open seat close to the door or on the balcony.
  • Theatre is a special kind of art, which is born in the auditorium from a live encounter between the actor and the spectator. It is not permitted to take pictures of or film the performance. The use of mobile phones or other devices with bright screens is not permitted during the performance.
  • The stage is for the performers; and the auditorium is for the audience. To respect these boundaries, we request that the audience members do not get on the stage – neither before nor after the performance.
  • Snacks and drinks can be consumed in the cafeteria. No eating or drinking is allowed in the auditorium. Before the performance and during the intermission, Hendrik’s Cafe is open for visitors. In the case of performances that take place in the Ferdinand Hall, there is an additional snack booth near the box office. The cafe accepts both cash and card payments. Tables cannot be reserved beforehand.
  • Safety first! If you have contracted a disease or feel ill, please stay at home. More detailed information about the safe conduct regulations implemented by the Estonian Government can be found HERE.
  • Please disinfect your hands when entering the theatre. The hand sanitizers meant for this purpose are available by the doors, at the box office, and in several other locations. Optional face masks are available for purchase at the box office of the theatre for one euro.
  • We wish you pleasant theatre experiences!
